When we profiled this year’s AMBR winner, we promised further coverage of the West Coast’s premier indoor car show. Friend of Hemmings Scott Sheehan was nice enough to send us a selection of photos from his visit to GNRS. As you can see, period styling and vintage goodies remain popular with hot rodders and customizers.
The GNRS dates to 1950 when it was first organized as the Oakland Roadster Show in Oakland, California and has been held in Pomona, California since 2004. Each year America’s Most Beautiful Roadster is selected from GNRS participants. The Suede Palace, added in 2006, is expressly designed to attract vintage-style hot rods and custom cars.
