1972 Ford Mustang convertible for sale on Hemmings.com. MACH I convertibles were Not produced for model years 1971-1973. This convertible was ordered/built with options found on a MACH I. (Ford stopped building convertibles for ~10 years after 1973)
Original Specifications: Convertible, 351 Cobra Jet, Ram Air (last year available on 4-V, due to emission certification), Automatic C-6, A/C
Restore and/or Repairs (numbers matching): Engine and Suspension, Rebuild Engine (approx. 500 miles on engine since rebuild), Camshaft & lifters, Main & rod bearings, Polish crankshaft, Rocker Arms and Studs, Pushrod set, Rework Heads, Pistons, Double roller timing chain, New Valve Covers
New and replaced: Dual Exhaust and tips, fuel pump, Carburetor, “High velocity” oil pump, Motor mounts, Transmission mounts, Electronic ignition (MSD), Voltage regulator, High amp (65 amp) alternator, Transmission cooler, Flex Fan, Fan Shroud, Water Pump
Suspension (front end) kit with synthetic bushings (Mustang Depot), Front Sway bar replaced with ¾ inch bar, Front and rear shocks, Wheel bearings
Ram Air System: Rebuilt with New actuators, New hoses
