Hemmings Find of the Day – 1976 International Scout II

1976 International Scout II

From the seller’s description:

1976 Scout II – Incredibly low miles, great shape, runs great, no rust! Sale or trade!

If you’re looking for a Scout in great shape, not heavily modified, with very low miles, this the scout you’re looking for. I drive it often and continue to update it and restore it as I have time, so some of the details may change. It’s been a blast to own. I’m interested in selling it outright or trading it for something else interesting. Recently I drove it about 150 miles without issue. The pictures tell the whole story!

This car has been garaged since I’ve owned it and babied in it’s previous life as well. The previous owner had taken it to Florida, then moved to Austria – taking the car with him, then shipping it back to the US. I purchased it shortly thereafter, kept in in PA, and in the garage all the time. The odometer reads an incredible 39,000 miles!

Here are some of the specs:

39,000 miles, 304 V8, 4 speed, stock ride height, rhino lined underneath and throughout interior, AC/heat pakage, California smog system (installed originally at time of build), line ticket from factory, orginal seats, custom roll bar, dual exhaust (factory), three point sholder belts installed, PA inspected through 2017, driven often, fantastic breaks, fresh yellow paint job (decent), hard top with sliding glass windows. 36 gallon fuel tank upgrade, new shocks. The tires are in good shape 33″x12.5″, locking hubs work without issue. This thing will take you anywhere off road. The bumpers could use a fresh re-chrome and the new paint job is decent, but I do plan to repaint it later if I still have the truck, it’s not 100%
