With all the attention focused on the recent reunion of all six Shelby Cobra Daytonas, this chapter on the 1965 FIA season from Bob Bondurant has gotten increased attention as of late, and while it seems as much a pitch for the Bondurant School as biography of Bondurant, it’s still full of excellent archival photos and videos and tells a riveting story.

* Car chases are thrilling and dangerous, but not often does a film depict a car chase in which the participants aren’t trying to kill or capture or escape from one another. The one in “The Marseille Contract/The Destructors” thus appears more like a dance than a chase – even more than the chase in “Goldeneye,” which some believe was inspired by this one.
