I think it’s high time we start getting nostalgic for late Eighties and early Nineties trends: Things like hard pastel paint schemes and giving built and hot-rodded vehicles names like “TUFF ENUF.” And many of those trends are all wrapped up in this 1970 Volkswagen Baja Bug for sale on Hemmings.com, a car that appears to have spent the last 25 years roaming the Texas desert, unaffected by the passage of time, with a shine still on those chrome nuggets. From the seller’s description:
chrome 1600cc engine, 4 speed IRS VW BUS transmission. 3″ lift plus 3″ suspension lift for a total of 6″ lift. The car has a full set of VDO gauges, and a 4 point integrated roll cage with KYB Gas shocks. Car has chrome 15″ wheels, and BAJA type bumpers. The paint is not perfect as there are areas that have slight blemishes. Four KC style lights. I have had this car since 1984. The car is a drivable car, with current inspection stickers, insurance, and Texas plates.
