Hemmings Find of the Day – 1967 Ford Mustang

1967 Ford Mustang

The owner describes this 1967 Ford Mustang, for sale on Hemmings.com, as a restomod, but I’d like to think of it as a “Day 5,480” build. In high school, in the early 1980s, this Mustang would have made you one of the coolest people on campus, and its look, stance and performance potential still leave me wanting to ask for the keys. Purists will hate the alterations from stock, while those serious about pro-touring competition will question why more emphasis wasn’t placed on modernizing the handling. To those of us of a certain age, though, this car hits just the right note for a three-season driver. From the seller’s description:

This 1967 Ford Mustang is completely refurbished with no faults. The restoration includes, a fresh 302 roller engine (1989) with very low miles on the engine, an Elderbrock aluminum intake manifold as well has headers and custom exhaust, a C4 transmission and shift kit, Hurst speed shifter, 9″ posi-trac rear end, coil over rear shocks, rebuilt front end, Shelby hood, brake scoops, and spoiler, all new exterior chrome, brand new interior leather and hardware, 5 spoke Cragars and brand new radial G/T tires, custom center console, new radio and speakers, as well as an A+++ paint job done by Mikel Stein. This car is in immaculate shape as well as in great running condition. 100% rust free with no bubbling or cancer in the paint.
